Beginner’s Guide To Do A Flawless Makeover

A good makeover makes you look confident and creates positive thoughts for doing day-to-day work. There is no protocol for the correct way to apply makeup. It depends on your skin and look. In this blog, you are going to look into the basic steps to do a makeover, how to apply it, and the essential products for applying it. Here’s where we guide you to start your makeover.

Like a Pro!

Every woman wants to look like a heroine after doing a makeover. The main ingredient for the flawless look depends on skincare, products used in your skin, and blending. Pro makeover artists strictly follow a healthy skincare routine from face wash to face pack.

Essential!

The most essential phases are there for doing a makeover. They are listed below,

  • Face Wash

  • Moisturizer

  • Primer

  • Concealer

  • Compact Powder

  • Highlighter

  • Contour

  • Blush

  • Eye Makeup

  • Lipstick

  • Makeup Setting Spray

Let's go through it one by one in detail.

Face Wash!

The secret ingredient to your smooth finish is clean skin. The first and foremost thing to do is wash your face with soap or a mild facial cleanser. It will remove all dirt from your face and make your face ready for a makeover. The clean palette is ready after the face wash is done for applying a makeover on it.

Moisturizer!

Moisturizer acts as a defender against dryness on your face and prepares your skin for applying makeup. It is of many forms like serums, creams, oils, lotions, and mists.

Apply!

Take a dollop amount of moisturizer on your finger. Begin on the forehead from the centre of your face, then proceed outwards and up. Do the same, switching to the nose, and spreading towards your cheeks. Make sure you evenly rub the moisturizer to prevent clogging your pores. Finally, smoothly run it in a circular motion, and make it dry for a few minutes.

Primer!

Primer sticks the make-up with your skin. It creates a smooth canvas for your makeover, extending the wear time with freshness.

Apply!

Dispense a primer with your finger filling in your whole face with a little amount. Then rub it all evenly.

Foundation!

Foundation makes your skin an ideal canvas for applying makeup, and blurs blemishes by choosing the correct shade that matches your skin not as lighter or darker. So only it matches your neck and chest.

Apply!

Use a Beauty blender for full coverage. Damp the blender to get an even and realistic look. Squeeze the excess water until it's barely wet. Afterwards, apply a liquid foundation over your face using your finger. Then, bounce and roll the blender over your skin until even out the complexion is.

Concealer!

Concealer is the remedy for stubborn blemishes. Always use one shade lighter to your skin tone to illuminate the dark circles and blemishes. There is an all-over concealer and under-eye concealer in the market. You can use it depending on your demands. If you want to conceal dark circles use under-eye concealer or else use all-over concealer to make your face bright.

Apply!

Take a dollop of concealer on a concealer brush or your finger and blend it on the middle of the forehead, down the bridge of the nose, above the upper lip, and under-eye in an upside-down triangle shape. Finally,  blend the corner of the concealer, then only you can get a seemingly blended look with foundation. Apply a little bit on the areas of eyeshadow because it is a good base.

Always put foundation before concealer to get more natural and full-day coverage.

Setting Powder!

By holding concealer and foundation in the same place, you can use setting powder.

Apply!

Pick up the loose power using a large fluffy brush and apply it all over the face.

Highlighter!

Once you complete foundation and concealer, you have an even-looking skin. To highlight a few areas, you can get a luminous sheen, radiant, and pro look. It also improves your features.

Apply!

You can use your fingers or a highlighter brush to apply a highlighter. You can highlight the middle of the forehead, the bottom of the eyebrows, down the bridge of your nose, the top side of the cheekbones, the middle of the cupid's bow, the middle of the chin, and the interior of the eyes.

Contour!

To provide some depth to your face and make some parts look minimized, you use contour. Select a two-shade darker to your natural skin.

Apply!

You can use your fingers or a brush for contouring in the areas of hollows of cheeks (under your cheekbone), the side of your nose, under your jawline, and near your hairline (if you have a large forehead).

Blush!

You can add some colours to relieve your skin-toned face to become a coloured bloom.

Apply!

Take a little amount of blush in a large puffy brush and apply it on the apples of your cheeks.

Eyes!

Eyebrows!

Sparse brows can make dense brows by choosing your brow-matching eyebrow pencil.

Apply!

Outline the brows in a small dashing motion to mimic the hairline then fill the middle using the same small strokes in the direction of hair growth.

Eyeshadow!

There are plenty of methods available for applying eyeshadow. The most classical and basic method is applying a single colour over the eyelid. As a beginner, it gives you a seamless and flawless look.

Apply!

You can use a finger (high pigment look) or flat eyeshadow brush for applying. Start from the centre of the lash line and blend outward. Fade the eyeshadow into your natural skin colour near your crease, inside and outside corner of your eyes. The eyeshadow should not go away beyond your eyebrows.

Eyeliner!

You apply eyeliner to create a fantasy to your lash line. Choose a colour similar to your hair colour.

Apply!

As a beginner, you use a sketch pencil for comfortable lining. Draw a dotted line across the lash line and then merge the dot to make an entire line. If you want to wing up, you can draw outwards a bit.

Mascara!

Eye makeup couldn't end without this superstar - mascara. It will illustrate your eyelashes. Many of us ignore this part while doing a quick makeover. But this phase makes a huge difference to your eye in a notable way. Choose mascara depending on your eyelashes. If you have a short lash use normal mascara for getting a longer lash. If you have a thin lash use volumizing mascara for getting a thick lash.

Apply!

Sink the brush into the mascara and wipe off the excess on the top of the bottle. Start from the inner part of the upper eyelash and move outwards. Do this coating two times to get a solid look. Don't overcoat the eyelash, it will cause a cakey finish. Do the same for the lower lash also.

Lipstick!

Here, we come to people's favourite part - lipstick. Before applying lipstick to your lips, apply a lip balm or a primer over your lips to make it softer and long-lasting with lipstick.

Apply!

Apply a lighter colour for the daytime and a darker colour for the evening time. First of all, use a lip liner for putting lipstick within the perimeter of the lips to avoid bleeding. Then apply the lipstick directly on your lips, beginning in the centre, dragging outer towards the corners of your mouth.

Afterwards, press both upper and lower lips together to distribute the paint evenly over your lips. If you apply lipstick using a brush, paint it little by little. Finally finish it with lip gloss over it, to get a high glassy look.

Makeup Setting Spray!

After applying your desired makeover, you must use a setting spray to have a long-lasting look.

Apply!

Hold a setting spray 10 inches away from your face and shake well. Then spray 5 times on your whole face (X and T motion) with your eyes closed. Yeah! Your makeup will last a long time.

Makeup Removal!

After your wonderful day is over with a flawless makeover, keep in mind to remove your makeup before going to sleep. Sleeping with makeup can block pores in your skin and cause blemishes and wrinkles.

Removal!

Always use coconut oil or mild baby oil or makeup-remover wipes to remove makeup. Take a clean cotton cloth, put some oil into it and gently wipe the makeup all over your face.

Conclusion!

Always remember that Less is Adequate - You don't need to apply a lot of makeup to get a flawless look. Sometimes wearing over makeup can cause an unnatural and cakey look. So always keep your makeup in the right amount. Enjoy your flawless makeup beginners.
